Title: Tired of turbulence

Was looking at the recent "hipster" video and decided to check out his sight and saw this unique creation. I have kept up with Guzzi for a while but somehow missed this one. Probably in some of the early MGNOC news letters. This is an effort in the "buffeting must stop" category. While a bit cluncky looking it does seem well fitted and must provide a nice smooth experience for the rider. Probably quite useful with a proper tail wind. Move over Vetter, Swanee.

Good story from the son of the original owner.

That's cool, functional and would make "bikers" cringe.

I always thought they were butt ugly from any angle.

I think it would look better with the shark mouth that the Flying Tigers used in WWII.

Edit: Apparently it's been done before:

Funky. I wouldn't be parking that thing(unattended) in any other place than in front of that shop in Red Hook.

Courtesy of the headlight shroud, it is.  If you operate it after dark neither you nor any other drivers can see where you are going.

I remember those, I remember reading they worked really well. Though I think it would keep you busy in a side wind.

I seem to remember something similar to this.  It was a large fairing, U.S. made, it had twin headlamps, was huge and had an equally huge rear topcase/saddlebag combination.

I like the 70's stuff.  Everyone was making something.  I always thought the Samsonite luggage thing was pretty cool.
