Well, at least, I think it is from one of my Guzzis. ::)
So, hypothetically speaking, of course, if one would (theoretically) end up with a leftover thingamabob while reassembling an EV or Norge, what would this little guy be?
Don't think it's from my Griso, as I gave up futzing with the quick-release until I finish servicing the Norge.

Thanks.

Yup, definitely a thingamabob.

Hi Bill, It is obviously a spacer, might help if we knew what general areas you disassembled on each bike.
-
That looks like a spacer between the backside of two of the lower fairings and either the oil sump fairing mounting boltholes or frame mounts on my '12 Norge. Had those fairings off a few weeks ago. This is from memory and is worth what you're paying for it.
-
My guess is a shock absorber mount spacer
-
It seems as if there was a sleeve or a spring that was pressed up against the spacer. That thought came to mind when I noticed the black ring on the washer, and how it's off centered.
Good luck

~; Looks to be a non metallic Vernier caliper next to a Thingamabob. You're welcome.

6mm hole. EV spacer for evap canisters to mount, OR the tin(chrome) frame covers in front of fuel tank. Spacers on the back have a step in them.
There is also one like that on bottom of license plate mount to fender.
-
If you flip that over it might say, "Mr. Nevada Commemorative Doughnut", though I think they originally were pink with sprinkles.

My first thoughts as well but I think its a bit too small.
-
Spacer for mounting a silencer? I often seem to need something like this when I'm mounting up a non-stock exhaust.
Or a spacer for a saddle bag rack.

Yup, definitely a thingamabob.
Or a whatchamacallit :)
-
Spacer between frame rail and grab bar on Tonti frame bike.
-
I don't believe it is off of your HD&M, but what do I know? As Steve said, the "sheet metal spacers" on the EV are all stepped. And I don't recall any of the spacers on my EV being of the "chromed-metal-bottle-cap-packed-with-rubber" variety.
As above, consider what you serviced on either bike and zero in from there.
Or maybe Wayne or Lannis came by while you were out and threw it in the door just to cause mischief? ;D
-
I've got one if you want to have a pair of them. Have no idea where it came from!
-
If it was a 70s era tonti, that would be a coil mount spacer or maybe front tank mount spacer

Heh heh heh .....
-
Maybe top windshield bolt on EV opposite the cable guide.
-
Solo saddle hinge spacer?
I'm still trying to understand how an attorney asks a question he doesn't already know the answer to.
-
Looks just like an asshole off a hobby horse to me ;D
-
Hobby horses don't have ass holes. They're for kids. Kids don't want to shovel horse poop.
-
You suspender snapping old fart. You will even argue about hobby horse assholes ;D ;D ;)
-
That spacer might go between the sidestand and the engine. Doesn't the Norge have one that mounts that way?
-
Looks like one of the spacers off one of the bolts securing the carc tourque reaction arm.
-
Thanks to (nearly ;D) all.
In Atlanta this week. Will try to resolve the mystery next week.
