Eastern Oregon. Yeah; I need to put labels on more of these things.
Number 2 should be recognized by anybody who used to take the I-70 Glenwood Canyon route while they were building the freeway. That effort seemed to go on for decades.

That man on the Australian road (holding the round stop sign next to Pete's yellow 2V Griso) was noteworthy. He knew the names of all the trees along the highway--including their full Latin names. Not your average highway sign holder.

Aren't all trees native to OZ a variety of Gum trees :D

It was quite steep so the bike wanted to roll forward. Roger kindly got me a rock for the front wheel.

Nice photo collection. I wish I had known you were collecting, because I could have sent you a few dozen last year when they did a lot of repaving, and then installed a county water system in my area. :D

Yes, well... I've got enough photographs of my own to track that I don't need to collect other people's shots!

Back in the mid 70s myself and another person were traveling by vehicle from Rapid City to Minot. When in the middle of nowhere in NW SD we lit up a bowl to fight boredom. Then came upon this cute college age female flagger with no one else anywhere in sight. We stopped and without saying a word my passenger stuck the pipe in her face which she quite happily accepted. Seems that we made her day. Turned out it was 14 miles between flaggers. A lot of open space up there. I don't think that they would leave a young women out there alone like that now a day.

Looks like Roger had the whole sign holding thing figured out.
Daniel, as always, I enjoy your photos. Wyoming looks interesting.
