Title: California 1100i rear light unit
Post by: Velton on March 03, 2015, 05:16:30 PM
Help please.
I have broken the rear light unit on my California 1100i 75th Anniversary Edition.

My question is - how to remove the plastic sort-of-T-shaped moulding which carries the indicators and twin rear lights?

After removing the actual number plate I could see a 10mm head / 6 mm thread bolt which came out easily

BUT

there remain 2 metal gizmos, painted cream to match the mudguard / fender which are clearly welded / brazed in on the bottom.
The tops seem NOT to be either hexagonal nut/ bolt heads or Allen /socket screws but cannot be seen from above because of the moulding.
(There are rubber grommets between these and the mounting plate on the mudguard.)
How do you get them off / out?
