Nice. Thanks.

Nice!

A lot of amazing flying there, but I think they overdid the smoke and flames bit. Some judicious smoke helps people track the planes, but some of that looked like a burnout pit!
Some big motors on those stunt planes ..... And big cajones on the pilots!

too much smoke. good flying tho.. and why the semi truck with a big flame?

At an airshow at Oceana NAS some years back (the Blue Angels were performing that day), they had other events as a lead-up to the Blue Angels.
One of those involved a drag-race between a truck that looked JUST like that one, and an F-14 Tomcat. The truck had a JATO rocket motor mounted on the rear. The F-14 came floating over the end of the runway at a slow speed I wouldn't have believed he could do without stalling, gear down, wings extended. The instant he was even with the truck, he lit the afterburner, and pulled up the gear and wings. The truck lit the rocket engine on the back and down the runway he went. When they got to the end marker, the truck was going over 300 MPH and the Tomcat was right behind him (not sure if he was holding back or not, may have been like pro wrestling, although jets are notoriously slow accelerating from low speeds).
As soon as they reached the finish line, the truck starting coasting, but the F-14 went STRAIGHT up until he was literally out of sight in the blue sky. This could be the same truck or one like it.
Only in America!! ;-T
