Title: Early registration for Raleigh Eurobike
Post by: Seagondollar on March 08, 2015, 11:07:06 AM
A bunch of other people jumped in on Eurobike, I guess because they like it, and have gone off in all sorts of directions.  We now have our own webpage, and Facebook page.  Now, if your want to register early for Eurobike, with it's benefits:  http://www.eventzilla.net/web/event?eventID=2139075524 (http://www.eventzilla.net/web/event?eventID=2139075524)

I guess I'm just a Luddite. I enjoyed and looked forward to the original Eurobike events.  Went to the one last year, well organized, but it just didn't do it for me.

You notice I have no pictures of "CafĂ© Racers".  Chopping up a motorcycle and calling it "art" just isn't my thing.  ::(

I spent a few hours yesterday doing a video about where Eurobike started and where it's going.  So I appreciate your comments about "art" is taken to heart.  I hear you and I will be talking with the planning committee about that.

I think it's about riding and enjoying motorcycles that aren't Harleys (there's enough events for them) or UJMs.  Other perspectives?

And Dilli, come on back if you would.  The whole thing is a work in progress.  Since this one's going to be on a Sunday, I want to talk with everybody about maybe having a Saturday swap meet.

Oh well... lots of folks have lots of ideas about motorcycles.  Some of mine are custom, some are stock... some are modern, some are vintage.  I like a lot of different stuff, and so do the folks who come to Eurobike.  It's easy to hang with the folks who share your common interest.

It takes all kinds in motorcycling.   Everyone is welcome at this event, though the direction is and always will be European and euro-inspired bikes.

That being said, custom cafe bikes have been quite popular in the past couple of years, and they therefore tend to take the peoples choice awards.  Perhaps we need to change up the classes a bit?

That was Scot from the planning committee in the last post.  We aim to please.  And to get more bikes showing up.

I know that it's a Euro and Brit focused get-together, and I'm not a big one for chopping up stock bikes myself.

But (and this is a large and qualified But) I can't help but enjoy seeing the bobbed and cafe'd Honda S90s and CX500s and minimized CB-125 twins and blacked-out Gold Things that the young dudes ride in there.   Some of these bikes don't have $500 in the whole get-up, but their owners look like they're having a great time on them.

Fay will probably come with me this time if the weather is decent, and we'll see what she thinks!

I pre - registered and will either take the Eldo, or if the grandson goes, the SP with sidecar. I like to just walk around and look at stuff and a swapmeet would be very interesting. It's about a three hour ride for me so I need to leave early to get in plenty of sightseeing. It's always a pleasure to run into Lannis and Matt and other board members. Hope to see some of you there.

There is also a dinner Saturday night this year, so maybe you can take a nice leisurely ride up Saturday and hang out with us.  There will be a breakfast and a local ride also on Sunday morning.

Marion and I always enjoy hanging out with like minded folk and after reading all the post and depending on my back surgery having the desired results I hope we can make it.
They had  :food last year also.  Wouldn't exactly call it dinner but......

Does anyone have any info on the green/silver Benelli on Sunday?

I got one picture, but I couldn't find anyone at that time who could tell me anything.

Looks like I can't even show up.  It's like the Brewery Festival.
