After not riding for 10 weeks, I desperately needed some cycle therapy. Temps were above freezing for this week for the first time since New Years, and we had two decent days of rain, so, the salt was mostly washed away.
The Breva fired up as soon as I touched the starter button and was eager go go!
It was overcast, and temps ranged from 38-42 F. It was the nice 60 degree sunny day that we had on Wednesday, but, that's what heated gear is for.

It looks like snow might in the forecast for Friday :(
Let's hope it stays away -- we don't need any more salt. ;-T

After a weird snowless sort-of-mild winter, we had a frigid start to March then... well, yesterday was 77°, in N.D., in March. Record temperatures, of course. Not my first ride of the season (usually lucky to get one cold ride in, in March), but definitely the best so far! On a big Breva, too. Now it's back into the 30s and 40s.

I ride my Buell in this kind of weather occasionally but I can't get my leg over the saddle-another time

I've got a garage full of stuff that I need to sort and put away after the MOVE to the new house at the lake. It will be a few days before I'm able to find the bikes. Our weather is starting to break here it was 75 yesterday. The problem is you can NEVER ignore the possibility of snow in March here in the mountains.

Dean, I've left Roanoke and moved to Halifax, VA down near the NC border. I'm wondering if you've all had similar crazy weather. It has been a meteorological yo-yo. I went for a 45 mile ride home from work in 70 degree weather the week before last and it was in the 20s and icy the next day. Craziness.

Late last week, when we got back from skiing, I ran out for my little 100 or so mile 3-state forest loop I favor here in SJ.
Stopped along this cedar creek in the Wharton forest and noted the water is up a good 6-8' over mid summer levels when you can stand in a canoe under the bridge:

Good for you folks. We had some cold here but no snow except for one morning of flurries. Seems winter is fading fast. 80's and sunshine today.
Last weekend, a large pile up in the wet. 30 riders mixed it up. Patriot Guard, ABATE and Warlocks.
Refresh those dormant skills-braking, swerving, and SEE.

There's nothing quite like that first spring ride. I'm actually happy to see some more "normal" March temps here, it makes having my bike sans shocks a bit more bearable. I should get my new shocks and springs back from RaceTech in 10-14 days, do the install and get my therapy!

They're forecasting 3-5 inches of snow here on Friday. I REALLY hope that doesn't happen, because they'll salt the f**k out of the roads again >:(
It is forecast to be Sunny and mild all next week, but there is no rain in the forecast for the foreseeable future. So, then it'll be nice riding weather, but, the roads will again be poisoned :(

I got my therapy yesterday as well. First time out this year. Only out for an hour and a half for about 45 miles but the smile is slowly returning!

Man- that's sunshine & blue sky in those photos. I miss those days. I remember back in "nout '14" we had some sunny days. . .

Jas, is that a full sized Samsonite on the rack? Looks like you could easily stuff at least one dismembered body in it.

It was 60 mid-day here too. Temps fell fast. When I left work at 5pm, it was 53, by the time I got home, parked the bike, and got in the car to pick up Nicole, it as 47, and that was only 25 minutes. It was down to 39 by 7 pm.

55L HB. Yes, it can hold a lot; that's why I like it ;D
Because the shoulder is lower than the road, an the bike is on the side stand, the pic is looking down on the bike, making it look even bigger than it is.
