Title: Centauro First Gear
Post by: Brooksr13 on March 16, 2015, 04:59:03 PM: I will admit that I am relatively new to the Guzzi world but every bike I have owned has always clicked, snapped, clunked, dropped etc into first gear from neutral.

My Centauro gives no indication at all that I am in first gear, I push down on the lever and its magically in first gear. No positive reinforcement. Is this just a Centauro/Guzzi thing or do I have something going on in my tranny??

Post by: fotoguzzi on March 16, 2015, 06:59:56 PM: when you tow up can you feel it slip into neutral? I wouldn't be worried if it shifts fine.. pretty sure it's the same 5 speed as all Guzzi's of that era.

New to Guzzi? in case you don't already know... these motors like to rev, you don't ride it like a Harley..

Post by: Tom on March 17, 2015, 06:44:36 PM: Get the rear wheel off the ground and put it in gear. Work it through the gears. Otherwise if it shift okay. Don't sweat it. ;-T
