I'm sending my transmission and gears from a few other tondi's to Charley Cole. Weight is 50lbs. I first tried what I thought was cheapest, USPS, and the quote I got was $67 standard post. I then went to UPS ground, their cost $112. Now I'm seriously considering going to USPS, but thought I'd try Fed Ex, ground shipping 4-8 business days was $52. Needles to say I purchased the fed ex postage, they should be here to pick up the trans

Thanks for posting those rates. It's good to know what to use for items like this. I shipped a musical instrument internationally a while ago - the UPS rate was at least 6 times the amount of USPS, and at that time I learned that once the UPS package left the UPS store, it would've then been transported USPS, so go figure - maybe it had to do with the country I sent it to, which if I remember right it was Bulgaria maybe.
