Title: Quota front hub or wheel needed...
Post by: Green1000S on March 22, 2015, 08:53:00 AM
Just changed the bearings on the front wheel and looks like the left side bearing fit is looser than I prefer.
There seems to be some chisel marks inside the hub, indicating an attempt to make it tighter? Bearing is not spinning, but almost drops completely in. Not quite, but almost;-) it does not appear that old bearing spun with the race.

Does anyone know a place to buy a hub only?? Or a complete rim? Used one would be fine.
I assume there is not much to do in order to repair the old one?

I would prefer to get a good hub and send it to Buchanan to get it laced with new spokes and rim, so the condition of rim or spokes is irrelevant.
Thanks, Lauri

You might be able to shim it or machine it for a steal race?
