It's been said our mountians aren't the tallest in the Ozarks, but the hollows are deep. The bottom of the one ahead is Zanoni Mill built in the 1860's

It didn't have the green slime that makes 'em real slick, actually I did a creek crossing w/o a slab that was pretty dicey. I kept going, didn't stop for a picture :P

Great photos. What camera do you bring on rides?

Nice pics John!
It's been so miserable here this winter that I haven't even begun getting things out yet. There are still piles of snow. Thankfully, the warm up has been gradual so the creeks have so far been able to take the run off. Bad news is the roads are still white with salt. We need a couple of really good rains to rinse it all off. Then there are the pot holes and places where the frost has heaved the road. Some are very bad. Temps are still below normal here as well. 20F as I write this.

Same here in north central MA, with temp at +9F. We have been bellyaching about the terrible winter BUT we've been very lucky that the late winter and early spring have been cold with no heavy rains. This winter was a set up for a BIG flooding problem which won't happen if we can get through 2-3 more weeks without a quick melt sending the 1-3 feet of ice on the ground into people's basements. So, the weather here has been just fine! The pot holes on the other hand...
