Honda raises a bigger Ruckus with this new city bike. And you thought the Rukus couldn't get any more fugly. ::)

not as ugly as the Hero diesel... but can it stand still and become an electric generator?

That is quite the bike. Yes it has ugly in spades, but looks like a perfect example of form follows function.

The aftermarket extended swingarm and chrome package will arrive shortly after it goes on sale.

I like these customized low scooters ... doubt the law would allow these to be mass produced however.

A little different. ;-T

I've gotta actually say I like it. As stated on another board, in this world of completely overstyled, oversized ADV bikes that mainly run on Starbuck's coffee gimme the Bulldog anyday.

And exactly why it won't be a long-term success here. Nobody wants a "practical" bike ... it's all about sport and style .....

Aye want the bull dog! Note the full cradle frame that could easily carry an off road sidecar.
Or a sidecar to carry my wheelchair.
-
It is a shockingly homely bike. But no one will ever steal it.
It reminds me of the old 2 wheel drive bike - the Rokon I think.
-
Different, I predict it will be a huge success. ;-T
-
It endearingly reminds me of those first bikes me and other kids in my neighborhood got started on, powered by Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engines. We would take those bikes anywhere and beat the total crap out of them. I could easily see someone doing the same here.

Agree!

I like it and would love to have one. But what Lannis said sound about right.

Always been like that here in the USA. The Brits and Europeans kept on thinking (back in the 50's and 60's) that the wonderful Triumph Thunderbirds and BSA Stars and such with fully enclosed fenders and smooth-looking headlight nacelles and fully-enclosed chains and big 5-gallon gas tanks, designed to be practical transportation bikes that would keep water and oil off your clothes on the way to work, would be a great thing. Sold well in Europe, should sell well in the USA especially since America was a big place and big gas tanks would be a plus.
And Americans said "Water? What water? You think we're riding in the RAIN? HAH! And that big gas tank looks clunky, I don't need no big tank to get from the Dewdrop Inn to the Thunder Road Cafe, where's my 1 gallon peanut tank .... ?" and so it went.
If we had ever used motorcycles as daily transport, it would be one thing. But, history being what it was .....

That white large scooter looks like a customized Morph ass from Yammer hammer.
-
Those Japanese custom scooters remind me of the Custom Chopper shows - the amount of effort and money they sunk into their scooters .... amazing!
They look more like Jet Skis ......
