What in the world is he thinking or perhaps I "gave" it away! :D

Guess he couldn't find the love? Sweet bike BTW

"But dear, I tried to sell it at a fair price and nobody was interested. I guess I'm just going to have to keep it!"

just what I was thinking.

He was a bit odd. I tried to point him here too for a good knowledge base and support. He was really trying to knock me down on the price so I didn't throw in the MG stand. I told him I would for $100 more but he declined. I said if you keep the bike it will be worth it. Anyway, he hasn't used it as I think it had 8.75K on the clock when I sold it last year this time. Why I am not sure he is just trying to keep it but who knows.

A favorite tactic of car and bike flippers is to generate sympathy . We have a guy here who uses the "I am just trying to buy a car for my wife and we don't have a lot of money" routine on unsuspecting sellers . He then places the car on his lot at a substantial markup . Getting tired of the "need the money because I am getting married" bit . Sorry dood , that doesn't male what you are selling worth more .

It was a $4k bike a year ago and probably a $4k bike now.......a nice one but still $4k not $7K.

I'd contact him and offer to buy it back for the price you sold it to him....

I once sold a bike to pay for a wedding. It was a nice, 7 y/o Oilhead with reasonable mileage, for a reasonable price.

My sister lives in a formerly working class neighborhood that has gone upscale. Local boy was massaging a deal with an older couple for a long while. He wanted their house so his kids could afford to stay in the neighborhood, go to his old high school blah blah blah... He got the house in a sweetheart deal, bulldozed it into a one-wall-standing teardown and made 100K in an afternoon.
Then he moved to his wife's hometown just ahead of of the torches and pitchforks.

If he is selling it because he is getting married let me be the first to tell him he WILL regret that marriage !!!! Just hope he means he needs the money BECAUSE he is getting married.....BTW when I sell on my bikes/cars etc I only ask what's reasonable judged by comparison of the market and if a prospective buyer cannot afford it I tell them I cannot afford to subsidise them....no hard feelings but that's the way it is .

No mention of "limited production" in the listing? I am disappointed.

And I paid a grand for that tank. 😃

It's a nice looker.....A guy flush with cash looking for something unusual on two wheels would buy it.

Ponti- I just met him 3 weeks ago at the Quaker Steak and Lube here in Pinellas Park! I was showing my green V-11 Sport to a potential buyer when he came out and started checking my bike out. He mentioned that he was considering selling his bike and asked how much I was selling mine for. He didn't give any indication at all that he was definitely selling his. Afterwards we walked over so I could drool all over that tank. As I got closer I could see what was once a very nice bike has been neglected. And your right, a rather unusual individual.

Too funny, living in the area (Tampa) I am always searching CL/fleaBay for Guzzi's. I remember coming across this one last year, what a beauty! Wish I had the $ then to pick it up.
Sad to see someone "not get it" with what he has in his possession...SMH
