Title: Bosch spark plug caps needed
Post by: dsrdave on March 27, 2015, 02:50:19 PM
I'm looking for several of the original Bosch metal plug caps.  Don't have to be new just good undamaged used one's.  Let me know if you have any laying around.  Thx, Dave.

How about types fitted to old BMW airheads.  Many folks thought those were Bosch.

Theyre still available from any dealer and many aftermarket suppliers-

BMW 13  12 12 8 036 157

You can see one here but I'm not sure it's genuine. BMW still stocks the Beru.

If you can't find any let me know I think I have a couple from my Eldorado stashed away in the deep dark recesses of the basement.

Most of them have been used for slingshot ammunition by now. And rightly so.

Oh, they're ok unless you ride in the rain, and a Harley guy told Dorcia and I that you'd have to be a FOOL to ride in the rain.. ;D

The BMW one's are different and the new replacements are also different.  They can be exciting when riding in the rain.....  I tossed a bunch of them myself, now I want then all back for a "proper" restoration.  They look cool when restored and they are correct for the bikes.  Thx, guys.

In that case, I have a pair of new ones I'll send you.  ;D Remind me when I get back from California..

Iirc, back in the dark ages when Lucas ruled, beru was Bosch's economy line.  We'd find them willy-nilly mixed with bosch in the same VW when we did new car PDI's.
