Lots of rain, bad dirt roads etc etc, someone on here said only idiots ride in rain, maybe true but I'd do it again tomorrow
If I had to explain you couldn't possibly understand.

Actually loads more to do
clean rain suits
clean & retreat saddlebags, boots, jackets & pants
And change another front tyre
Might be 2 hours till I'm done & ready for next trip, oh well, as Ned said,  "Such is life"

New ones got nothing on the old BB. I was kicking a 87 SE today on up towards the red. Just delightful.
Even sold some carb parts. Slides have doubled in price, just had to wait 20yrs to make it.

You're in luck. The BOM says there's more rain on the way. You can do it again.

Actually gorgeous here today, Friday was mental, Woods Point Road pissing down & trees creaking overhead !!
Corrugated dirt like I've never seen there before, made by halfwits in 4WD's braking and accelerating hard every 10 feet, bit of a test esp with cold hands and fogged up glasses
Then went up Lake Mountain in complete cloud cover, not quite snow but kin cold feet !!

And now 23 C, sunny, in shorts, c'est la vie
It always waits till I'm a long way from home then turns on taps, advantage now is having the right kit, not getting soaked again, happened too many times before.

Nice tale.

I learned to ride on my first bike commuting from the country to the city in the rain, when a California drought had just broken. As long as the spark plugs are above the waterline I'm okay.
