I'm a musician on the side and write and record a lotta my own songs.
This one hit me one day when on a camping trip with my kids and we came upon an old abandoned road with weeds growing through.
My mind starting churning out ideas for this song at that moment and this is the song I came up with.
Sort of a tribute to all the bikes I've owned and all the friends and great rides we've been on.
Tim Hagberg allowed me to use his helmet cam video of his ride through Monitor Pass.
I thought it went well with the song:

Thanks for the ride ;-T

Nice ride, I wish I had your talent.

Thanks for sharing both your ride and musical talent. I too hear a lot of Neil Young in your performance (a good thing).
OK, so tell us where the ride was filmed. What highway? What season?
Al the tar snakes are worrisome. Those damm things always feel "goozzey" in the heat and cold alike.
Another bitch of mine: Many counties in Colorado are taking the cheep route and using chip seal (oil & gravel) instead of real blacktop.
Oh well, keep riding and keep playing.

Thank you for the ride...

Thanks for listening! The road is Monitor pass which is a high mountain pass on California in the Sierra Nevada southeast of Lake Tahoe. The video was given to me by Tim Hagberg.
