I screwed up my knee/leg badly at work March of last year. It took 2 surgeries and many months of physical therapy and lots of meds to get me back to being somewhat functional.
My doctor has cleared me to go back to work and I finally got caught up on my missed training and certifications. I go back to work tomorrow morning dark and early!
More importantly, I've been able to ride my Breva 1100. I did have to take off the trunk so that I can get on and off of the bike. I don't look very graceful doing it but since I'm big, old and ugly and riding a Guzzi, what others think really isn't important to me! :bike

When did 51 become old ;D Glad you are functioning again ;-T

From the vantage point of being 78, 51 is barely post-adolescent.
Take care with your recently-healed leg. You have at least 30 years of riding left. No need to hurry.

What is your job? Testing pogo sticks?

I wish you well. When I got hurt at work I had to be able to work 40 hrs/week to come back full time. Never happened. Ended up with full disability. More time to ride........eventua lly. :)

Im in the same boat, got my foot crushed by a piece of equipment that had injured someone the day before and wasn't taken out of service. My job requires minimum of 40 and usually closer to 60 hrs a week so after almost two years of PT and one surgery to try a spinal cord stimulator looks like Im done working. Cant walk far or long but riding the Stelvio is very doable so that's what im doing. Don't miss those 4am shifts anyway.

Congratulations on being able to ride again! About going back to work, you have my condolences.

Must be the onset of senile dementia, I'm 73 and I don't remember what "work" means.

I just hope you're not a referee @ a butt kicking contest. ;D I'd just about take a fudged up knee to get out of working with the peckerhead I have for a boss for a year >:( Good luck with your return to the salt mine ;-T
