Here's a few pics from Raleigh yesterday. Good turnout with many interesting bikes.

Is that Dave's (Combustion Cycles) Vincent? If so, he's made some good progress on it.

It was a beautiful day I took 24 and 27 instead of going up 85. And still took less than three and a half hours including gas stops.

Here's another take:
Raleigh, North Carolina, Eurobike Day 2015. Just a day to ride in, hang out, meet friends, look at interesting bikes!
Started out on the Stelvio, Fay and I did, till my bent rotor made itself known, so dropped back to the Ford Festiva and went on anyhow.
Good crowd of people there:

A few old Brits, not many. I’ve ridden a BSA down here in the past, may need to do it again just to show the flag …

The $500 Café Specials – good fun for cheap, I suspect:

The original founders of this affair, back when it was just a little gathering:
Juan –

were circulating and helping out.
Hunter, discussing “why I don’t want a pickle” with Dennis and me:

And the Mods, of course, were there with their scooters:

But then we were all done. On the way home, (for rail buffs) I noticed that we were traveling over the tracks of the old Oxford and Clarksville Railroad, laid out in the 1890s and operated until the 1950s …..

And that’s the way it was, April 12, 2015, and I’m stickin’ to it ….

WE, Marion and I, should have gone. First one we have missed. I'm relying on a walker to get around but, and after looking at the pictures, Marion and I both wish we had gone. Our LeMans, SP or R65LS would have been right at home.

Lannis- Great pictures of both the show and the ride home. Have they converted many of the abandoned railways to bicycle trails in your area? That idea is gaining momentum here in Florida and eventually you will be able to ride almost anywhere in the state on strictly bicycle trails

They've converted some ... the old South Side Rail Road from Pamplin City, VA to the High Bridge over the Appomattox River has been converted to a gravel track, but most of them are just lying there.
I'm all for greenways and such, but to be honest, I'd rather they converted the rails BACK to railroads and found an effective way to use them to get some of the truck traffic off the roads!

It was a good show and the first good ride for me since moving to Greensboro.
I still don't have my Norge here so I was on my Scramblinator.
I probably chatted with a couple of you but didn't think to ask for names so who knows.
Let's see if I can make a slideshow link work here:

Nice photos Forrest! My bikes are the 2 in #13, the Laverda and the gray Eldo. :bike
Nice to see you and Fay there Lannis, even without the Stelvio.
I need to find a hat with a pickle on it so people will realize who I am. The hat with no pickle on it doesn't seem to work. ;D
