My G5 project is coming together and I keep eying the burnt up exhaust. Barring the ridiculous price, I love the lemans exhausts I have seen on other custom projects. Would it be difficult to mount the lemans 1/2 system to the G5? Both 40mm but different mounting and clearance?
Thanks for any advice.

You'd need a pair of either the stock Lemans foot peg hangers or an aftermarket set of rear sets like the ones on my CX.

If you are bringing the bike back to stock then you have some sort of custom made hanger and I don't know about clearance under the foot boards.

I see it. The G5 has a huge side stand holder on the left side that would force the pipes lower. I think the lemans runs right along the frame and looks sharper because of it. Thanks blackcat

Original LM1/2 exhaust is 38mm but you can buy large bore 40mm.
Original Lafranconi Competitione silencers are 38mm.
The new Lafranconi Comp. silencers (with embossed lettering) are 40mm and come with spacers to fit the original 38mm headers.
