Washington Crossing Historic Park, PA
This is always a great event to meet people riding extraordinary bikes, not of your typical HD.
Weather's good-- should be a great turn out. That means hundreds of bikes. I'll be there on the Nero.

What a great day to meet a few new folks and look at some incredible machines.
Here's a link to a gallery of about 100 photos: http://oldschoolaudio.wix.com/headphones#!gathering/c50a (http://oldschoolaudio.wix.com/headphones#!gathering/c50a)

Nice job on those photos Scott. I missed half the bikes that were there. This is one hell of an event!

There's just sooo many!
This was the best event in maybe the past 4 years. Thanks for keeping stuff like this on the radar for us.
Only thing missing on my wish list today were John Player's. I really love the JP-Commando and the Rotary F1's.

Yea, at least one of each WAS there last year.

It was a great day. Thanks for taking all the photos to document the wide range of bikes people actually ride to this event. It's impressive.

There is a rumor that this might have been the last. That it has gotten too big and represents too much work.
I can't speak to the truth or falseness of the rumor.

Heard same. Let's hope it's just rumor.

Drums4money - that photo of the guy sitting on the T with the side car- that's Joe Collins. Last time I saw him was in 1980. We served on the same submarine for a while. I think his dad started Collins Classic Cycle. If you don't mind I would like to send him that photo. Small world.

He was a super guy to meet on Sunday. The rig was beautiful. He mentioned it was his fathers.
Please send that photo. You should be able to grab it by right-clicking on it in that gallery. Let me know if that dont work.

It seems like "other" outnumbered the Nortons.

It seems like "other" outnumbered the Nortons.
That's been true for more than a decade, or maybe forever, it's at least been true as long as I've been going...
And if you think about it, that's no surprising. I mean, I'm told they get like 500-600 people at this thing, and I doubt there are what more than 10% of that in the form of running Nortons within 3 states.
But they've always given priority parking to the Nortons and usually the rest of the vintage stuff.
-
Last time I made this event was in the mid to late 90's and it was always raining or threatening to rain. Crowd was about 30-50 bikes but that is just a guess with the majority of them Norton's so it sounds like that number hasn't changed.

Yeah that number is probably steady or possibly falling.
I remember it threatening to rain a lot in earlier years too.

Wow! That's a good penny for a function that seemed to not need much assistance from the park commission.
On another note, it was great meeting a bunch of you at the gathering and breakfast before hand. Thanks to the guys that let me join in their table as the late guest. Hope to see you at future events. Maybe I'll replace my BMW jacket by then ;)
-
Slo - that's ridiculous to literally just "gather" in a parking lot for a few hours. Jeez, I wonder if they're considering alternate locations. I would think a cycle dealer or shop would love to "host" it, if they have the square footage.
Trk - you the guy with the gorgeous red/black Griso?
