Hello all...
I am entering into a business venture that be the fabrication of motorcycle parts...
I am doing some market research on the subject and being a lover of moto guzzis thought I would start here.
if you could get a tank, exhaust, brake pedal (advanced) or anything made what would it be.
I will have the capability to make just about anything so any and all requests/suggestions will be considered.
I am thinking that parts that are not made anymore or that are very rare would be a good place to start.

BUB type replacement for my LM1. want badly......but at a reasonable price, Can just be some slipons for the stock mufflers even. All I know is that the stockers are too bloody quiet and LaFrancs are too bloody expensive.

Yes, Conti replicas. Guzzi, Ducati, Laverda, plus owners would probably be interested. Especially if in the 100 - 200 dollar pr. price range. ;D

Ambassador/Eldorado gas tanks and V700/early Ambassador battery covers are on my "wish list".

Difficult parts that require lots of design and manufacture time and costs. delivered for cheap.

The right foot-peg bracket/muffler-hanger for the 1000s. It invariably gets bent when the bike tips over, impossible to get a replacement.

1972 - 1974 V7 Sport (1974 750s) cast aluminum head light brackets, they were reproduced for a while but no longer available.

Actually, in order to maximize your potential customer base, maybe you want a part that is the same across many models. Or at least fits the models with highest production numbers. El Dorado? 850T3?
How about a repro le Mans/V-7 sport gas tank?
Useful to owners of those particular bikes and also to the throngs who want to "cafe" an old -T-.

Agree on le Mans/V-7 sport gas tank, also decent side-stand for non-police older Tonti models.

Design and build an attractive 6- or 7-gallon fuel tank for the Griso.
Then, it will be the perfect (current) Guzzi.

Repro Le Mans/V7 Sport tanks were available up until recently, may be again if the Italians decide to run off another batch. How much more "decent" of a sidestand can you want than the Brown/Boxerworks unit? Too expensive I guess.

That would mean designing and producing an attractive large capacity fuel tank to replace the flaccid whale penis of the California III, California 1100, California EV series.

I would be very careful about manufacturing anything for a Guzzi, like many have said before, the cheapest thing about a Moto Guzzi is the guy sitting on it (myself included).
A couple years back I made up half a dozen sets of repro V7 Sport signal light stocks and lamps, all steel, show quality chrome, wired etc, could hardly sell four sets and the cost didn't even cover the parts and plating. If I could have sold fifty then perhaps the would have been a very small profit. The market for Guzzi parts is just so incredibly small and the bikes are not yet fetching Ducati $$ for most to warrant spending big money on a restoration. Just sayin, if you repro parts try and determine you have buyers before hand.

Wat the Canuckistanian sez. As a manufacturer myself, there's not enough volume in Guzzis to tool up. Not to mention the frugal Guzzisti nature.. ;D

I think of little farkles I'd like to see available from time to time. Then I think about the number of people who think like I do and realize there'd be no demand beyond the prototype.

Yeah. Production runs for Guzzi parts would be short ones!

If it's like the Kaw triples, reproduction parts are usually made by low volume production methods like CNC machining, low volume molding, and 3D printing, by guys who work in their spare time, or like me, guys who concentrate on niche markets that are too small for the usual suppliers to bother with.

I need copies of Lario RH and LH cylinder heads. I have been visiting with a shop that has a 5 axis mill, but they are booked up making airplane parts. The heads are still pretty easy to get though. What I really need is Lario/Imola II rocker shaft assemblies. It would be nice to have them as rollers, but just a copy of a stock assembly would work. You can see what the assembly looks like at the top of this photo. Fabrication would involve making the pedestal, shaft, rocker arms, and a spring. I have a modified Brown (by Boxerworks) on both my V7 Sport and now 850 Lemans. Can't get much better.

Metal (or good plastic) fuel tank for the Norge with a slightly less knee dish out for more fuel capacity.
Truly adjustable bars for the Norge that fit the 2nd generation. (not risers - taken care of)
Slightly longer side stand for the Norge - keeping it slightly more upright.
Rear seat rider floor boards for ^^^
Note: Norge owners are a bit more spendy that the others so maybe start with our stuff first. ;)

Last I spoke to Nathan he had several modified for Tonti Guzzis in stock. Give a call if interested. He IS at the mercy of the Brown for BMW supplier though. The Guzzi stands sell like hotcakes.

Second. I guess Mark E. doesn't make the repop side covers any more? I have a set on my Eldo now and they are reasonably nice- heavy fiberglass.
I am afraid a tank with chrome panels would be prohibitively expensive.
Maybe yet another loop frame floorboard setup considering that old stock goes for about a grand each time.
