Title: Canisterectomy on 2014 Norge

Been doing quite a bit of research on removing the canister from my bike, but I'm still not clear on the procedure.  Does the gas tank need to be removed to do this or can it be done without removal.  I want to do it before syncing the throttle bodies and running Guzzidiag.  I don't want to remove all of the hoses yet as it's still under warranty and in case I need to bring it in for any warranty work I'm afraid it may be voided if the canister is disconnected or not even there.  In other words I want to remove the can but leave the hoses in place for easy reconnecting in case I need to bring it in.

Hello;

 This plumbing it tight, but you can do it without removing the tank. If you have the Norge manual, you will find the "standard - European" plumbing for the tank in the main body of the document.. generally the American canister plumbing is at the back... Just make your plumbing look like the Euro plumbing and you'll be ok.

Is it not running well currently? Perhaps running the latest map for the Norge might give you what you want. If you're under warranty you might not have that many miles on it yet so...

Some wise person here told me that changing lots of things all at once leads to not knowing what affected what, that was some of the gist I got.

If you remove the canister, then sync the throttle bodies and then run GizziDiag how will you know what gave you what you want? A 2014 Norge with a proper tune should run very well.

It's running okay except for a snatchy throttle just off idle.  I'm hoping a throttle body sync and a new map will help.  Mostly I just want to make it easier to get to the manifold inlets for syncing and to have a little extra storage under the seat.

Point well taken, and that's pretty much the way I had planned on doing it, just like to have all my ducks in a row.

As you're riding a Norge, the ducks you have are already in a better row than the other 99%.  ;)
