Title: Cali 1400T fuel tank replacement
Post by: gwb_mg on April 26, 2015, 04:21:55 PM
Has anyone been able to locate or figure out how to install a higher capacity tank, this 5.5 gallon tank is driving me nuts?

keep it under 80. I had no problem making 200+ mile tanks

You do realize you have about 2 gallons in the tank when the 'low' fuel light comes on. MPG keeps getting better w/miles. By 10000, I was getting 45

I agree with both. The Low Fuel light is very conservative, and turns on when there's still plenty left in the tank.

Still, 5.4 gallons is not much for a touring bike that returns mid-30s mpg most of the time.

I don't understand why Guzzi left all that air space behind the fuel tank side covers.  Just like on the original Stelvio, they left range on the table by not filling those spaces with fuel.
