Title: Changing B1100 headlight bulb
Post by: idahorider on April 30, 2015, 09:08:26 AM
I'm about to dive into changing the low beam headlight bulb on my '06 Breva 1100. Anything I need to be careful with? Any special trick to getting the cover off the back and pulling the bulb out?

It's literally been too long and I don't remember details... but I'm PRETTY sure that means there was nothing particularly hard or funky about it.

Not hard. Remove headlight, release rear cover and replace bulb.

I normally lay a towel or something on the front fender and set the headlight on that, lens down, to work on the back side. That way I don't need to mess with the parking lamp wire.

It's very easy and self-explanatory. The hardest part is keeping the low and high beams in the correct holes.

Remember not to touch the glass of the bulb you're putting in!

Nothin to it. Changed the low in my B1200 last weekend. A common bulb, found at any auto parts store. A 15 minue job if you stop for a smoke.

You remembered correctly.    It is pretty straightforward.
