Question for you guys that have one of these bikes. Do the throttle cables route inside the faring in then under the tank or outside the fairing and under the tank? Mine run inside the faring, and I suspect they are getting hung up. I've seen pictures of the routing both ways, but don't know what's correct.
Much appreciated,
Cam

The best routing depends on how far from the handlebar the fairing in placed, the type and position of the clipons, type and angle of the throttle and so on, In other words you will have to see what's best in your bike, to route the cables with the widest bends possible. FWIW in mine the cables go behind the fairing, under the tank. The carbs need to be mounted in a tilt to keep the cable adjusters from the fuel tappets.

Cam,
I recently re-routed mine. They now both go inside the fairing and back through the left side of the triple clamp. Then one goes directly back to the left carb and the other goes under tank to the right side carb. I previously had the right side cable led straight to the carb but that put too tight a bend in it and it was binding. Ditto on tilting the carbs inward to clear the fuel taps. BTW I've got slightly taller TeleFix bars on my bike and still have enough slack with the stock cables.
I've seen pics of Le Mans with the cables routed outside the fairing and it just looks wrong to my eye.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Lemans routing is forward around headstock between tank & frame on lh side, under center frame to ea carb, No tiewraping only real loosely. BAD grammar!
