Hi,
Headed over to Mass next month to ride my EV1100 back, after attending the National!
As the subject indicates, the bike has H&B 30L Juniors, all well and good. I initially intended to add a top case, but have since decided to go with dry bags. Have narrowed it down to the newer DrySpec series:

Gonna strap them down to the passenger seat, keeps the weight closer/lower to center mass. Now, the bottom bag is 22" long,. Can someone please measure distance handle to handle, and overall width on their 30L Juniors? That'll help me decide just how much or little baggage I'll buy.
Big thanks all!!

You can get a lot of dry bag lying on top of them...

I'd measure, but it's long gone.

22.5 outside of handle to outside of other handle. At least that's the measure on my stone right now.
About 29 to 30 outside of bags

Kev m,
Thanks for that pic, I've plenty of my old Jackal, but I had the Nationals on that bike, with the flip-up lids. And I've several of the (new to me) EV, but not loaded and ready for road tripping. And I'm still open to dry bag choices. Which brand/model bag is pictured there? And did you find the orange fairly effective as a hi-vis option?
You rolling up to the National?

Big Thanks!! So a 22" bag is perfect and a 24" doable. Just don't want any drooping over the outside of the bags.....that would be annoying. I'll never be able to pack minimalist like Danial Kalal, but figure if I get enough dry bag, I can lose my trusty, but tired old T-Bag.
Take good care! And hope to see/meet you in New Hampshire?!?

That's a Large Ortlieb (14x24), from AeroStich:

I've used it for more than a decade...

It's what Jenn often uses on her Duc:

We've also got some friends that use them on their Sportsters.

Can't say about the hi-vis effect, but it can't hurt lol.

We WERE planning on it. But all our babysitters fell through. So even though Jenn's got the whole week off, looks like the kids will be in daycare and we'll make day trips out from here. :( Oh well, another time.

:+1 On the Ortlibs large bag. Holds my camping gear and clothes for a week. Closes securely, straps down tightly and is most definitely watertight. Makes a great backrest on long trips.

Kev,
Most excellent demo on great looking rides. There really is no finer feeling than throwing leg over a bike packed for an adventure and new sights, sounds & smells! As for the bag, I'm a day trip out from Aerostitch.....am also eyeballing a Roadcrafter, plus the discount walk-ins.....looks lime I'll be headed out to Duluth👍👍
Dave,
Thanks, mostly I'm 4 years out of practice (dry spell) and a on the other side of the time zone from the bike.......Norge is in the garage Andi can use that as a packing test dummy........but there are so many luggage options now! And yes, I seriously like something behind my lower back, especially when I'm stretched out over Harpers hi-way pegs.
Thanks much!!!!
FWIW.....it is just 45° out and we'll just make 65° today.....
