Might be handy for riding in groups when hand signals as used often or just over thinner gloves for general use.
Don't shoot the messenger.

I would have loved it for my Eldo in the olden days when all I used were hand signals. Of course, back then the device would have required six D cells and a toggle switch.

Are they self canceling :o
Yes. From their site (the FAQ):
"If there is no on/off switch, how can I be sure I won’t waste the battery?
If the signal is not blinking, they’re already off! The gloves wake up from their off state whenever they detect that the contact pads are pressed together.
If I throw the gloves in my backpack and the contact pads get stuck pressed together, won’t that drain the battery?
The gloves will automatically shut themselves off after a set period of time of being on to prevent the battery from draining in situations like these."

Do they sell a set that flashes the middle finger as a pointer?
Cars can always see a hand signal if there is a gun in it.

Great idea.
Years ago for a college marketing paper, my idea was to incorporate small LEDs on the side of skate and snow boards, along the edge.
In gloves, helmets, boots, etc. bright and safe. ;-T
