Title: Exhaust update for Griso
Post by: T.T on May 10, 2015, 09:49:23 AM
I just bought my first Moto Guzzi.  It's a 2012 Griso 8vSE with 11 months of factory warranty remaining on the motorcycle.  I want to add a new exhaust that doesn't hide the rear wheel.  I kind of like a sound that is a little louder than stock.  Which is the best one to add that won't void the remaining warranty?

I've been real happy with this one from Todd.

I purchased the cheap prototype with non-removable DB killer that I'm very happy with.  The bike probably lost 25 lbs now for the owner

You will have to update your ECU though which you can with the $300 or so you'll save over most other brands.

The only problem I had putting it on my old griso was the connector pipe was not round.  I tried various methods then just used a muffler clamp to make the tube round ahead of the muffler, slipped the muffler on easily and removed the clamp.

Mistral High Pipe with dB killer. Best aftermarket pipe currently available for G8. Non-kludge re-map available for the cost of cables and a donation to the developers of Guzzidiag.

Can't post a pic as Flickr have just 'Upgraded' their website and it no longer works for me. Grrrrrr.

I think this is the one Pete is talking about, mounted on my 1100:

The last one above. The extra length and bend make it work outstandingly.
