If only they could launch from the ground and not have to use an airdrop from a safe height.

I thought of a rocket booster, jettisoned right after launch, in the style of a pogo stick, would work. Not very safe though! Dumb idea.

Maybe a Catapult?  Slingshot? Strapped to the roof of a Deloran?

Parachute, if you look close you can see it built in.  It sits where it normally would if they didn't have the wing on their back.
