Title: Loop Frame seat options. H-D buddy seat?
Post by: cwiseman on May 15, 2015, 06:12:16 AM
My little sprung solo seat leaves a bit to be desired but not too bad. What I would like to try is the Buddy Seat. Has anyone mounted a old pan/shovel head buddy seat on a loop? One concern would be if would allow my DB saddlebags to open.

Not sure where youd find it - but Giulliari was making the same seat that was on the loop frame California's (never came stateside). Its an exact replica of the old FLH seats. have one on my Eldo, very nice.

I always thought the Guzzi buddy seat was rather ugly.

Ok and thanks for the opinions. Now shifting into 2nd gear what are other good loop frame seat options? I kinda dig the old 70's king and queen seats. I'm enjoying the Eldo quite a bit so longer rides and comfort have became a concern. I'm a big guy so some seats don't fit me well.
New Hagon shocks set up for my weight should also help, should be here any day.

Mike, does this HD solo seat allow you to sit a bit lower compared to other solo seats available, to your knowledge? Seems so from the pics. I have a Harper's solo seat on my Eldo-- which I find comfortable-- but it sits rather high for me....would like better reach to the ground in other words.

Apologies for the thread hijack...

Cheers, Aldo

QSL 1000 mile solo seat by Teutonic.

I had one on my R75/5  and kept it for my Eldorado.

If you can find one and don't mind spending the money... they are Great!!!!!

This seat is lower than a Harpers solo which I had on this bike before this one. I'm 5'8" with short legs and I can get my feet flat on the ground with my knees bent.

Great, thanks Mike...I'm gonna give it a shot.  Same height and looking for similar results.
