I know nothing, just passing on this ad in case someone of you need a 1100 Sport with under 4k. I'd like a finders fee, since you have deep pockets to buy this..

Yes that is a pretty one ............ couple years back I had a RS with under 4 K miles on it.......... had to move it out of the stable though.
Looking at this one makes me think I should have kept it just to gaze at .......... they really do look much better in the flesh than in photos.

That looks like the special Spot shop stand too. All the bike needs is some miles, dirt and spit (to get the shine off that seat). And a rich owner.

Realistically, if this Guzzi had a pair of carburetors it might have a market value closer to the asking price (on a good day).
Unfortunately, the Injected Sport 1100's have a more limited value at this time.

No. The Spot shop stand lifts the other direction, & supports the swingarm from the pivots. That's a generic shop stand.

It looks like a late 1990s Ducati Performance rear stand, to me.

Yeah. I don't get that, either. Market on well used, but nice Sport 1100s has been in the $3500-$4500 range for some time, now.
I don't know that I've noticed a difference, myself. In fact, the first thing I'd do with a Carb Sport with 40mm Dellortos would be pull 'em and install FCR41 Keihins.
I have heard the efi is finicky on the Sport 1100i, but I'm sure it's something that can be worked through.

To some only mainly because the red suspender brigade can be bothered understanding the various options available to sort the injection. So to them the carbed bike is more valuable even though it is saddled with some puss box 40mm delorto's that don't hold their tune and ran so badly from the factory the bike barely ran. Completely ignoring the injected bike has better suspension lighter wheel better brakes etc.

Yeah. I wanted the 1997 1100i, when I was looking to buy. My dealer had two 1996 carb Sports on the floor, and they had a $1000 rebate.
So, I ended up with the 1996 carb Sport, spent $1000 on FCR41 carbs, and $1500 on a Staintune exhaust, to get it running properly. Really good, actually.
Front 41.7 Marzocchi forks have gotten 10wt oil and WP spring kit. The WP rear shock is same on both carb in efi Sport 1100s, and is pretty good.
Yes, the Campagnolo wheels on the carb Sport are HEAVY! And soft. I'm on my third front and getting ready for my second rear, because they bend so easily!
My Sport 1100 didn't run that great, as delivered. Then it ran a little worse after the dealership tried to tweak the Dellortos for me. It was easier to go with the FCR41 carbs, and they have required almost nothing over the past 12 years. Bike runs better, has more power, and gets better fuel economy. Kind of unbelievable, actually.
