I'm changing the tires/tubes on my CalVin on Thursday (new Pirelli Sport Demons, of course!) and I have the torque for the front axle, but need it for the rear wheel axle and pinch bolts. Anyone here have a definitive answer for me? Thanks in advance.

Axle nut is 105ftlbs, pinch is 32ftlbs. Old figures for a Tonti frame but still good.
They have changed some to a lighter spec, like the pinch, book may say 28 & 80 for axle.

So would it be 80 or 105 for a CalVin? Any help appreciated.

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are at least at 80, it's gutentite. (German torque spec.) ;D

I don't think the torque value is anything to worry about, it's not like it's going anywhere
Even if the axel nut fell off the wheels not going to fall out.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I guess I'll just go with 80-85.

That's what I use, or as Pete says, "until you fart".. ;D

Great news! Did the tires today, tightened the rear axle nut to 85 lbs. ft., and the wheel didn't fall off on the way home. ;-T

Good luck getting it undone on the side of the road with whatever wrench you carry in the toolkit.
Sorry I just don't understand the need to keep this so tight ???
