This might sound blasphemous to some, but has anyone installed an old-school-Tonti-type "flat" seat on their 1100c or 1100i? The prices on them seem to be pretty reasonable nowadays, but I never even considered them from the git-go (including the venerable Cal III) because I HATE that sculpted bucket seat.
Is the '96 still a Tonti frame?
Is the seat pan flat, to fit the Tonti frame, or is it also sculpted like the shape of the drive and passenger seats? If it's flat, I'd think a good seat re-foaming and cover would win me over.

I think you're in trouble. I may be wrong, but I think the 1100i has the computer mounted under the pilot's seat the the seat pan has a shape to fit around the computer. I doubt other pans would work. It is possible to use a smaller battery and fit the computer down into the battery compartment and then your seat options might expand. See the other thread regarding EV questions.

The computer will definitely be in the way. Like Patrick said, with a small battery there is room to move the computer.
