Post by: fotoguzzi on May 23, 2015, 10:18:53 PM
Madass 125, 10 miles in and 10 out on city streets mostly one way.. should be a breeze.. when traffic is heavy both streets have a bike lane I can zoom down.
this will be a blast I hope.

You won't get a ticket in the bike lane?

Haha!  Awesome.  Please chime in soon with a report on power and mpg.  I've always had a thing for these but have never known anyone who had one.

Great looking commuter and it's about time.

As much as car insurance has become for High School / College kids here's something they can use for transportation while being an anarchist.

As to use in the bike lanes, here in California it's legal for 50 cc scooters and "mopeds".  You do have to keep your speed down around 25 mph though.  I doubt if the local Constabulary could tell a 50 cc Madass from a 125 cc in the bike land or even care as long as you kept your speed low.

Now 0 cc lycra clad riders who don't stop at stop signs is a different matter.

I see you got the touring model.....

I hear there is a 250cc kit for them.

that would SCREAM!  I think I heard of  185cc?

hit 52mph on the way in today and there was more twist left in the grip. brakes worked good on wet pavement.

I'll bet it's a good tool for the job.  Light and maneuverable are assets in town.

It looks kind of like a beefy bicycle or a Trail 90 on steroids.

My memory gets easily confused, 185 seems more reasonable.

Wait till you ride it all the time, you'll see why it's called Madass.  Seat will make your ass hurt.

I used to ride & work on them. After a couple minutes it will hurt.

Just had a better look a yours, seat is not the stock one.

They are fun.

Funny I was looking at it thinking how can I modify, the bump is a little to forward... a HD police saddle or a tractor seat? that might be over kill but I could see a new seat tho going 10 miles each way today was no problem.

maybe a slim bicycle type seat on a leaf spring?
