Title: Fuel Sender Repair ?

has anyone ever tried to repair one of  the guzzi fuel senders ?   I just picked up a quota and the fuel sender is bad.  When metered, it shows nothing.  The quota has a odd one that is very short.  I installed a spare i had for my centauro but it is a lot taller than the quota, so i imagine the gas light will come on with 100 miles left.

This sender is the later thermocoupler style.

If it's just a broken wire, you're in luck. If it is the gizmo, (technical term) I don't know any way of repairing it. Maybe you could put the Centauro gizmo on your Quota tube?

I weld repaired the one in my 2003 EV. It looks like a straight metal rod with 2 flat spots that have holes at the flats for mounting screws. Mine broke at the flat spot.
If it's the type like on my SPIII, part of the petcock I doubt that it's repairable. I have my oem one I took out because it triggered at about 1/2 tank.
