Austin and Houston Riders check in if possible
LD, Mike, Larry, check in when you get s chance.
Parts of Houston got 11 in. of rain last night. Extensive flooding. Many stranded on road. Austin hit earlier by same storm system downtown flooded. Flooding extends South along I35 corridor. Missing and dead in Wimberley, Texas. Galveston OK.

All good here...wow, back from a month in Arizona with perfect weather to conditions resembling Noah's Ark! What a storm!!

Yes, watching it on the news this morning. Unbelievable. Is your Guzzi underwater?

3.5" last night in The Woodlands, north of Houston. Minor local flooding but all the surface streets were clear (and mostly dry) by 8:30am this morning.

I'm about 50 MI South of Houston on Galveston Island. We have missed the worse of these Storms. Knock on wood.
More a problem in Houston. Lucydad and Mike from MPH are OK.
Haven't heard from a few people closer to town. Hopefully allright.

I've decided to leave the Guzzi still on the trailer just in case I do get a bit of rain higher than normal. The cars are watertight, so no worries there...
Riding in Arizona was SOOOO nice...this wet weather here in Houston sucks! Need to send some of it to California!

We'll get our turn. The big difference will be the sob stories here from those looking to rebuild at no personal expense rather than the more self sufficient folks you have. We have people building homes on hardened mudslides, disaster relief forms already filled out.
Hope you're all ok. Was ready to head to Houston to pick up a TDM this week but seller decided not to do distant sale. Maybe this was good fortune.

We are dry in Lakeway. Wimberly and Blanco hit hard. Lake Travis has come up 25 ft in the last 30 days.
-
Everything is good here, other than a few traffic lights not working this morning on my way to work. I'm half way between Houston and Galveston, the worst of it stayed North of me.

any word of MJP in Austin?

John haven't heard from him yet. Any idea what part of town he lives iln? Downtown seems hardest hit about a 1/2 mile to mile either side of Town Lake (Colorado River ). Shoot him a PM.

I survived the storms. Weather just messed up my riding plans so I faired much better than some. Here's a video of the low water crossing less than a mile from my house. I figure the water is about 6 feet deep:
(http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y518/mjptexas/th_1B1E8968-2B28-41F9-86AF-81263DA37C25_zpsduni9vxi.mp4) (http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y518/mjptexas/1B1E8968-2B28-41F9-86AF-81263DA37C25_zpsduni9vxi.mp4)
If you look closely you can see what looks like a mound of trash beside the pole on the right side of the video. That's the top of the flood gauge. They are usually 6 feet tall.

Good to hear MJP LowRyter was asking about you.

Having been thru a recent flood in Maitland NSW down in OZ ... my thoughts are with you guys... hope it all gets better soon.
A friend (mechanic) close to where I am is still cleaning up his workshop ... 5 weeks later he is without work and thinks will need another 3 weeks.

Things are ok in Terrell.
I've been riding to work each day in this never-ending monsoon. I have fallen in love with my (1) aerostich suit, (2) new Sidi boots, and (3) my Kiwi Rain Off mitts.
Guzzi Stone looks like a Kansas City mud pig!

Glad your high and dry. At least no flooding.
Add Brazos and Lower Colorado Rivers to the list. Evacuating Wharton now and another round of rain on way now.
Riding to work every day.... Your a V7 hero dude!
Take care if your headed to Lake Jacksonville this weekend. Staying put myself. Spent last weekend picking my way around the flooding to get back from New Braunfels. Trying to figure out the appropriate sacrifice to appease El Gran Nino, maybe I'll burn a Harley. ~;

I'm in Seattle. Amazing that I'd have to come here to get away from rain. Had plenty on the ride up, though. Riding back to Houston next week.
