Title: Cynthia Standlee, former MGNOC NM Rep RIP
Post by: Texas Turnip on May 30, 2015, 12:14:55 PM
It is with great sadness to tell you that Cynthia passed at the young age of 65 from cancer.

Dan and Cynthia left Texas and moved to Los Cruces, NM. They became the state reps naming it GRIN (Guzzi riders in New Mexico). They started the NM rally in Datil. After Dan died Cynthia  hosted the MGNOC National in Sipapo (sp) She was a great spokesperson for Moto Guzzi. No telling how many long distance awards she won.

A wonderful friend.  I'll miss her.

That is very sad news, indeed--she was a fine and fun lady. She was one of the first Guzzi riders I met.

Cynthia was a very giving, special person.  I think she never remarried because she had a physical issue but I didn't know it was cancer.  She gave a LOT to the MGNOC while she was alive.  Never knew he ex-husband but definately knew Cynthia !!!   ;-T

This is sad news indeed. I only met her once and admired how "real" she was.  She will be missed.

I met Cynthia at her NM National. I sure wish it could've been more often. RIP Cynthia.

Never had the opportunity to meet her but am always saddened with the loss of the good, genuine ones among us.

Found her obituary, helps in learning who she was, even if only a glimpse......

I had heard she was in the hospital, but this really hurts.

Cynthia was my friend. I don't remember when I met her, but it was before the NM National, I think.

She would come to the Arizona rally very often. She would ALWAYS help me at the registration table. I always made sure that there was plenty of diet Coke for her! I went very often to the Datil rally, too. It was held on or near her birthday, so there was always a cake and singing of Happy Birthday.

She was a Sun among stars. Truly a wonderful, loving, caring and giving person.

Be with God, Cynthia. Rest in Peace.

Tom
