My bucket list includes learning to ride a hack.

Man, it's about fifteen minutes away from me and I'm expecting a check that would cover that in the mail.

We had a `71 Ambassador w/a newer version of that sidecar. The car is missing it's windshield & toneau cover. If you want to ride it that way you need at least 50# of ballast added to the car and I wouldn't buy it w/o riding it first. You can maybe get the windshield from Gustaffson or both the windshield & toneau cover from Calif. Sidecar if you're lucky. With stock gearing it's mostly a 3 speed affair. Brakes are marginal. :wink:

Do not buy by a rig without trial ride first. Alignment could be wrong, steering head bearings could be shot, any number of variables could be wrong. If you are serious about it have an experienced Hack pilot go with you for the test ride to evaluate it, preferably one who knows Guzzis..

That is a gorgeous vintage rig... the hack seems to be a good fit for the tug too.
As mentioned previously, insure that the hack is set up properly for toe-in, lean out etc. That chair wheel looks to be a fairly small spindle though.
Pretty set up. Classic.

If I were closer, I'd buy this rig, remove the sidecar and make a nice planter out of it (the Spirit Eagle sidecar is a very light weight unit and IMO, not well suited for any serious speed or load). The bike however, for 3500.00 or less is a good deal. It's not clear in the pictures but there looks like floor boards and foot pegs. And the floorboards look to be mounted to some steel plates? Hopefully bolted on and not welded to the frame.
