Ride for Dad is an annual nation-wide charity event in Canada aimed at raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
This year's event in Yukon was held Saturday June 6. 161 of the 1060 bikes registered in Yukon showed up for the ride.
15% of all bikes in the territory. Not a bad turnout. Guzzi showed well too. Far Star and his Norge, his brother-in-law on a gorgeous California, another guy on a Norge with me traipsing along on my V7. Roughly half the MG in Yukon showed and rode that day.
For me it was a bittersweet ride. A dear friend passed on last week. Not from cancer but from injuries inflicted when and SUV turned left across his lane and Jay's bright red Victory crashed into the impatient blind turd. How can you not see a bike the size of a dump truck and the colour of the fire engine Jay so proudly attended. I already miss him.

That's a lot of bikes regardless of the location. And you say this was all across Canada?
Sorry about your friend.
