Title: I45 Galveston to IAH

Have to be to IAH by 10:00 AM WED.  I know there are lane closures on I45 downtown and it's supposed to be raining hard.  Anybody drive route often and can make some constructive route suggestions?
Like to avoid major traffic jams and flooded streets.  No I can't  leave now and no on bike either.

You can't get to bush from galvez.

Abandon all hope who enter. 

I would go Galvez to B8West all the way around...forget I 45 it is a disaster.

Take 45 up to the Sam Houston and and take that around to IAH.  I'd go up the east side, since the west side will be a mess between 59 and 290 that time of morning.
