Getting ready to replace the Metzeler Lasertec which came on my V7C (got about ~7500) miles out of them) and trying to decide if I should just replace them with the same tires or try something different? Any thoughts about Pirelli Sport Demons or Avon Roadriders? Any others to consider?

Sport Demons as recommended on this board made a huge improvement on my Mille, but of course it's not the same bike as yours. If they last reasonably well, I'll stay with them.
Avon Roadriders are near-racing tires as far as I'm concerned. I have them on my DT100, and they get soft and gummy and stick like glue when you ride them hard. If you want to do track days on the V7, don't hesitate to try them.

I went through 2 sets of sport demons on mine after the lasertechs and loved them. My new set is the Michelin pilots, and I wish I would have gone with the sport demons again.

My V7C came with Lazertecs - not good. I've used Sport Demons, BT45's, Michelin Pilot Activ (on the V7S) and Avon Roadriders. I prefer the Avon AM26, then the Sport Demons. Jury is out so far on the Pilot Activ, having only done 10,000km on that to date, but it doesn't seem to FEEL quite as good as the Avons or the Sport Demons. I did get 55,000km (34,000 miles) out of the Avon on the front - extraordinary! And perhaps marginally better turn in than the Pirellis. There's a "Tyre Stats" file in the Files Section of the MG750 yahoo site, if you are interested.

Avon used on all except the Norton. Dunlop TT100's on that one.

Pirelli Sport Demons felt AWESOME... but were CORDS by like 6-7k miles.
The Michelin Pilot Activ has been nice, and I expect it to last better, and if so I'll probably keep using one, but I get the impression it isn't quite as sticky, maybe close.
If I'm unhappy with the Pilot I'll probably check out the Avon Roadrider on Malik's recommendation.

Sport Demons every time. I just had a new pair fitted in fact.
I have had good experiences with Metzelers but they are not in the same league as the Sport Demons. I have also used Avon Road Riders & was not impressed at all. They were ok initially but but started to squirm & white line very quickly while the tyres still had plenty of tread & were well within their legal limit, so I won't buy Road Riders again.

Think all. I'll probably go with the Sport Demons this time around. Final question, did everyone stick with the stock sizes (100/90 | 130/80) or try something different?

I have been happy with the Sport Demons on the Stone V7 although they wear pretty quick. 7000km on the rear then replaced, and the front is ready for a change just shy of 10000km. I am considering the Michelin Pilot Actives as an alternative thinking they may provide greater longevity without compromising grip. When I changed the rear I went with 140/80 Sport Demon purely for the aesthetics. It fits but with little to spare. I do like the look however the handling characteristics have changed. When cornering the bike begins to lean as per normal until a certain point when it seems to 'fall' rapidly into the turn. It's ok once you are used to it nonetheless I think it will be back to stock sizes from here on in.
