Any one know how thick the rear rim is for material where the tire beads up to it?
I hit something on the free way last week and gouged out some of the metal about a 1/4" up where the tire meets the rim but lower in elevation before the rim breaks to the horizontal plane.
More than a finger nail can easily feel.
I am thinking this is a replacement rim to be safe.
Last thing I want is a failure of the rim for whatever reason.

Andrew, there was a guy at the Advrider site, Stelvio thread, who had just replaced his spoke wheels with cast ones. He is selling the spoked ones. This might be an opportunity for you.

Andrew, here's a link to the Stelvio thread, it's really long so you don't want to wade through all those posts: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113158&page=888
The post was from about a month ago. Leafman60 contacted the guy and thus will have more info. I recommend you send Leafman60 a PM and maybe he has the contact info for the seller.
