Title: Looking for some pricing guidance on some Dan Brown bags.
Post by: lrutt on June 20, 2015, 04:47:06 PM: I acquired a BMW from my dad and it just so happened to have what appears to be some very nice Dan Brown MG bags on it. I have all the brackets etc. But not real sure what they are worth. Can't find anything comparable on ebay. They are in pretty nice shape I believe.

Here are some pics I took. Any guidance on pricing these out would be appreciated.

He had a pretty nice pair with brackets and I happily bought them for $325.00 plus shipping. Turns out since I pay attention I read where Roadkill mentioned Grayhound bus for shipping on a large item. Nobody else bougt his bags due to high shipping, he was nice enough to work with me and turns out shipping across most of the country was $55.00.

I would be VERY Interested in the side rails and crash bars if you would like to sell them. After that they should fetch $350.00 to $400.00 in my opinion. But if you plan to keep the bike and tour on it you'll want to keep them. I love mine and added new latches and hinges (55.00 in parts) and they hold an enormous amount of stuff. I once fit four 10lb bags of ice in one bag to transport to my camping spot.

Correct. They are missing the dimples on the top of the lower bag where the bracket bolts to the loops frame.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really don't want them on the bike as I will not be touring with it. I'll check with the BMW crowd.
