Title: Smaller fuel tank for T3?
Post by: Guzzer on July 02, 2015, 09:58:26 AM
I have a '76 T3 and was hoping to put a smaller fuel tank on it.  What other tanks would fit? I will put on a custom solo seat after I find a tank.

v-7 sport tank or a lemans I or II tank. good luck finding those cheap. I have seen folks that hammered a t-3 tank and inverted the outer curved surfaces. looked decent, and no doubt reduced capacity.

This might be the first time I've seen a topic about having too much gas tank.   :afro:

I thought the only time you had too much gas was when you were on fire

Tank from a V50 or V65? Will probably require some adaptation.

I think a little tear drop Sportster tank might look pretty cool if you can mount it low enough over the frame tube.

all the tonti frame tanks should fit but none are "small"

I've never liked the bulbous lines of the T tanks.  mtiberio, is that a hammered in T tank? I like it
