I posted on here about the red triangle of death on my 07 Norge after replacing the oil pressure sensor. When I got up this morning I found my son had ridden it 30 miles to work. I called to chew his arse for riding it with the RTOD on. He proceeded to tell me it was merely the right front turn signal was out. He checked the back of the fairing and found a wire had come off. He plugged it in, started the bike, turned on the turn signal and no RTOD. Rode it to work and it ran beautifully. As he said WIDRTFM (When In Doubt, Read The Free Manual) I hate it when the kid gets smarter than me. :embarassed:

You just got first hand confirmation that you've done a ton of stuff right raising your son.
This truly deserves a

You don't want to raise idiots but it can a bit trying when they turn out to be smarter than you. You done good. :thumb:

The triangle is an alert. If you'd looked at the bottom of the dash you would of seen the 'Crossed out globe' icon. Don't assume the worst.

I tried to tell you in another thread that the Triangle is not necessarily indicative of a serious problem, in fact every time I have seen it, it has turned out to be not real concern!
I do think they should have made the triangle amber in color, like the check engine light on our cars, the case that its red really is unnerving for a lot of us.
