that wheel base must be about a foot greater than my bike.. I don't see the vomit emoticon..

I've looked at the pictures and read the text and I still can't figure out what they were doing. It looks like one of those cartoon transformer things with no pants.

Nope, same as an original California. It just looks stretched.
-
That exposed swingarm looks siiiiick! The company that made this has all the 3D CAD files saved somewhere, I wonder what the chances are of someone releasing them into the wild...
-
It looks expensive. I like it alot.
-
I wonder if the driveshaft service interval has improved?

I am still trying to understand the wheel and brake package

Peripheral discs have been around since forever. Buell pioneered their use I think on road bikes.
The front end is a Hossack/Girder type design by the look of it. Nothing wrong with that if using modern materials for sideways rigidity.
In many ways I think it's hideous but there is some interesting engineering in there which is more than can be said for most of the wet dreams on that site.

Yeah , I got the rim brakes , but are the wheels of mesh construction ? And what are the "fingers" around the brake rotors ? BMW uses Hossack forks on a couple of models , they work really well .

Using it as a boat anchor would be a waste of a good length of chain.

Besides , Harley doesn't need any competition in that market

The fingers look to be the fastening points between the rotors and wheels.
I think the wheels are pretty cool.
-
we don't want it to be a show bike
Yeah well with that wheel base it probably takes six lanes to turn around in.

Details remind me of a barbecue on wheels! Strange wheels. Strange fork looks like they have been bent backwards by accident. The tank is nice. Rear shocks and engine details are nicely done too.

But he doesn't ride a Cal 14.
And yes, a Cal 14's wheelbase is dang near a foot longer than a Buell...

How "Space Age" can it be if it still burns gasoline?

This isn't a popular opinion , but gawd that era of cars were ugly . BLECH

I kinda like 'em. But yeah, many of the '59 and '60 cars were over the top.
There were some great looking cars in the 1950s, though, like the '56/'57 Continental Mark II:

"We don't want it to be a show bike"
Not to worry, it doesn't, and it's not. I've seen pics of many bikes on this forum that I wouldn't care to own, but this is the first one that I wouldn't allow anywhere on my property. As in "There goes the neighborhood." What were they thinking?
-
I think they were planning to make and sell the machined cast suspension and fork units as kits for Guzzis and other makes. This would be their display model.
-
Swingarm design as per Britten. Britten had the spring in front of the donk.

foto, while the bike doesn't have quite that effect on me, thanks for the great belly laugh. Your Snickers Bar is in the mail.
I wonder how much it weighs. 700 lb bikes just don't figure to me. A long time ago in a forum far, far away, the question was asked, what kind of bike was that in the Judge Dredd movie. I said it was a stripped down Goldwing. Didn't make too many friends that day.

Despite all the custom work, no one seems to have fabricated mid mount foot controls yet. -Probably the most useful option that has yet to be provided for the 1400.
