A while ago there was some talk about the Norge's LCD not recording speeds past 99 mph.
It can and does.
You just have to get to an indicated 105 mph on the speedo to do it.
Private road of course.
Wish they'd just put an accurate speedo on the thing. Probably like starting an oil thread but really, for people who ride the speed limits in town and so on, always riding faster than posted isn't doing anyone a service. What would it take to fix it?

Not a big issue. It just requires altering the speedo correction factors in the map. Mark did this for one of my customers whose speedo on his 1200 Sport was wildly optimistic. A bit of fiddling and it was as accurate as the GPS.

Well thanks for that! When I'm in town where the limts are in the 40-45 range and I'm just riding at the indicated limit invariably I have to speed up because I'm sometimes holding up traffic. I keep forgetting to ride 5 mph faster all the time.
Mark, how much and when?

Do an accurate speed test with a GPS and tell me the real v speedo speed and I fix.

This is why owning a Moto Guzzi is painless.
The MG riders down under are on top of the world as far as I'm concerned.
I'll send over the log data I have from the lastest map too.

I wonder if this supposed 99 limit was due to the rev limits in the stock map? I have removed these limits in my Norge map. There were both fuel limits and rev limit per gear.

Mine will record more than 99.

Yes, it will indeed record well over 100 mph
How much more? At least 10%. At least. We won't talk about at most.

Say you were on an old runway. A long one. 5 mile length. What would it say? At most.

The 99-limit is news to me.
But, fastest (indicated) on my Norge?

But, the Griso is way faster:

No way. 187 on that Griso. Seriously?

Yeah, the Dashes seem to have a 'default' maximum speed. When Mark was building a map for my mate Peter's new 1200 Sport we tried the non ABS map which uses different speedo correction factors and as soon as you went above walking pace it indicated 247 kph
I've also had my Griso brain-fart and show a maximum speed of 248kph. It just seems that if something tickles one of the processors the wrong way for some reason the result is an instant jump to twelve try billion miles per hour! :thumb:

Pretty handy for freaking out the squids though Pete

137 minus the optimist at MG.
Hey, what do you guys use to remove stains?

Mine has hit an indicated 140 on a 7,000 ft runnway with bags and trunk on and it had a bit left but ran out of runway.
