All,
Any interest? It is a great place. Also has gators and birds and an incredible observatory.
Maybe late October to early November. Wonderful camping.
Thoughts?

Oct is a busy month. GRIT 1st weekend. OK NAR 2nd weekend. LA reschedule mid month and Harvest Classic a bit later.
NOV 1ST weekend Lone Star Galveston.
2nd weekend Swamp Scooters.
You might wet your feet by attending on of these fall events.
I'd be happy to help out if you'd like to do something early Spring. I scouted out the campground and shelters last May.

I'll come down and join you on the Brazos, but like Dave said, check those other rally dates. The Galveston thing is probably not be big draw for Guzzi riders so that may work.

Camping with the gators sounds like fun...but as folks say, October is pretty well booked with other Guzzi/Moto activities and the riding to Harvest Fest is well worth it. A bit later, even a Thanksgiving weekend might be an option...or even a day trip w/o camping.

All,
Good idea, wrong month, yep I am not very connected to the rally circuit I guess.
Hmm, we will see how November and December play out.
thanks!

LD, plan on joining for the nice ride up to the GRIT rally in East TX. It was my first rally last year, nice campground with facilities, nice back roads (no slab) on the way up. Not sure if I'll camp one or two nights.
I'd be up for Brazos Bend at some point. I need to find out about the November rallies, nice and cool by then!

As Davedel says above, one of the better November rallies has to be Swampscooters in Lafayette, LA. Very good facilities and great food.

Another vote for the GRIT...made it 2 years ago, but missed last year. Very nice ride up thru Crockett, Tyler and back roads...easy smooth ride.
