Got a question about the Ti Race Kit that came with my recent 2003 LeMans. It is almost intact (still in the wrappers) but is missing the right side hanger, the larger one not the small sub-hanger. I posted this on the swap area as a WTB and on V11LeMans.
Anyway..without the hanger I'm guessing I can't mount the pipes? Are they mountable in the stock position?
-
Well...I found out you can. Did some searching of really old...2005, 06 postings. Still would like to find a right side hanger so I could mount in the raised position.

Any complex bends in it? If not, trace the one you have onto aluminum sheet and cut it out, then paint. Aluminum is so easy to work with except to heat and bend thick stuff. That takes some getting to know when to stop the heat before it falls apart.

If you're referring to the passenger footpeg hangers, then yes you can mount them with the stock LeMans hangers.
The short footpeg hangers are the same as Sport 1100/Daytona passenger peg hangers, so you have some hope of finding one, if you want the pipes mounted high.

Rocker...
So you are saying the passenger footpeg hangers from a 1995-97 Sport 1100 will work?
Thanks...

Yes. The short passenger peg brackets from the V11 Ti kit are the same as Sport 1100 and Daytona.

You can also use the stock v11 passenger peg brackets, which gives you a lower position, if you want bags or more legroom for a passenger

Rocker,
Appreciate the info. I'm sure locating a set of 1100 Sport brackets will be difficult at best let alone trying to find a bracket from the Ti kit.

Try Reboot Guzzi Spares.
They usually always have some Sport 1100 / Daytona parts.

Just sent them a request...have to see what their response is.

If you are not lucky with them I'd try Teo Lammers.

Maybe easier than going international is to contact Bruce at Moto Studio in Miami. He should have some from a Sport he has no use for.

Chuck...PM sent.

Found a set...Chuck in Indiana graciously is selling a set he has. Even have the foot pegs on them. Best part is they are from the Ti kit so they're black.
Thanks Chuck!

You bet! I've been active in several motorcycle and car forums over the years but the Guzzi community is by far the most helpful. I did get a reply from Reboot Guzzi...they had a set from a 1100 sport. I thanked them and said I'd already got a set from a forum member.
