Yeah. Motor out of a wrecked bike.

Hi Pete,
I can look about for you over here, is there any problems shipping an engine to Austria? I did not think there was, but just checking. I will see if Pinwall, Pinhead, whatever the wreckers are have any, will also troll some sites.
Cheers bud, best to you and Jude

If you ship an engine to Austria, Pete is going to have quite a time picking it up.

Just because he is old and cannot pick up motors any longer?

Well,,,,,, where do you think 'the sound of music' setting was supposed to be, down under?

The hills are alive with the sound of digery doos!

in the parlance of Vasco, "chalk and cheese"

In the ski school we have Austrians and Ozzies. Can't understand any of 'em.

She seemed to believe Australia is in Europe
I know a woman who lives in Barbados and thinks it's off the coast of Africa.

A lot of you IDIOTS think we tie ourselves to coconut trees during hurricanes. "I saw it in a movie."

Do you live in a land down under, where women glow and men plunder?
Do you hear, do you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover!

You don't? Damn. Another illusion shattered!

Last time my wife did that, I went back into the grass shack and watched a movie on Netflix. Of course, sand plays havoc with the computer and my internet connection.  I'm still looking for a virgin to throw into the volcano on the next full moon.

Is that the scene just before she goes down for a swim and the croc attacks her?
-
Must be a challenge for you Aussies, trying to get a good nights sleep, on that land down under.

Better get that virgin found. It's a blue moon Friday night.

Well - the east coast of Africa is ........... eventually

Sorted.
Thanks everyone.

Does that mean you found one or just watched The Sound of Music?
-
It simply means that Beetle and I have decided on a course to build a big bore Griso that will perform the best it can within the parameters of the stock cams and castings.
We will make absolutely no claims for absurd horsepower and we will document the process, our expectations and the results. We will also be willing to open up our findings to peer review, (Note that this does not include an open invitation for any drug-fucked idiot with an axe to grind to crash the bike!) as is accepted as the true scientific method.
Anybody else that wants to step up to the plate? Bring it on, we're ready.

Well, all the jack-assery was keeping your request up high on the topic list. There is no such thing as bad publicity...
I would be interested in what a Cali 1400 can do...

No. His post would have been "sordid" in that case.

Cali 14 is limited at top end due to Venturi area but benefits greatly at bottom end due to second plug and plenum.

It's not nice to make people spit up their coffee so early in the morning............ ................... ........ROFLMAO
It's pretty nice out this morning. I think I'll take my semi annual bath and go for a ride. Maybe visit Dave and Kathy for coffee........

Have a good ride! I gotta see if I can trade a wild boar for a couple sacks of Kona gold. I asked the wife if she knew of any virgins at the hotel. Her response was "for the full moon?"

This is going to be interesting! :thumb:

Well - the east coast of Africa is ........... eventually
But only after you cross central Africa - gotta be careful with these geography jokes!

Alrighty, now. Got my popcorn at the ready. The Kid sez when his Grease O blows up  he's going to put a 1400 in it. Might as well be a powerful one.. <shrug>

We're not chasing power Chuck, we're after torque. I'm holding fire on buying the Cali kit at the moment until I've had a chance to examine the combustion chamber of a C14. Compression will be up a bit using the bigger barrels but whether and how I'll need to modify the pistons or combustion chambers will be dependent on several factors. From what I've gleaned so far, like the Nuovo V7 the main adjustment to CR is done in the piston which is interesting and will have some knock-on effect with charge transition which may or may not be helpful.
Pete
-
Ok, then.. it might as well have more torque than a stocker.. :boozing:
-
Ok, revert to plan A. Compression I don't think would be too much of an issue but I'm worried about balance factors. I have no desire and neither does Mark, to bugger about heavily modifying parts, if bolting on 1400 barrels was that simple every boy and his dog would of done it by now. I'll wait for a crashed Cali 14 to become available and work from there.
Pete
-
plan A is the easy one. Maybe only front engine cover is different? new map and ready? The dual coil is something to think about, if not using the 7sm.
-
Not happening now. :(
